EDGING
For the edging, I used a chart I found on a search for crochet borders. It uses one special stitch which I will describe below.
SPECIAL STITCH
3DC together- yarn over, insert hook into stitch, pull through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook, yarn over, insert hook into stitch, pull through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook, yarn over, insert hook into stitch, pull through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook, yarn over pulls through all 4 loops on hook.
Chain 65 (+3 to act as 1stDC)
or for a longer or shorter edging, chain groups of 16 plus 1 (+3 to act as 1stDC)
R1: 65DC
R2: Chain4, turn, 1 DC chain 1, skip stitch, 1DC, chain 1 til the end of the row. (33DC, 32 spaces)
R3: Chain 3, turn, 64 DC (65DC)
R4: chain 5, turn, skip 1 stitch, SC into the 3rd DC from previous round, chain 5, skip 3, SC into the 4th stitch, continue until there are 2 Stitches left, Chain 3, DC into last stitch.
R5: SC into DC, *chain 5, SC in chain 5 from previous row, 8DC in next chain 5, SC in next chain 5, chain 5, SC*. Repeat ** until end of the row.
R6: *chain 5, Sc into chain 5 space from previous row, DC chain 1, DC until you have 8Dc speparated by chain 1s, SC into chain 5 from previous row* Repeat til the end of the row, chain 2, Dc in SC from previous round.
R7: chain 1, 3DC together in chain 1 space. chain 4, slip stitch into 3DCtogether to form a picot, Chain 2. Repeat 6 times. Sc into Chain 5 space from previous round until the end of the row. SC in 3rd chain of the chain 5 from the previous row.

Attach the 2 pieces (the cups and the edging) together by SC.
Chain 1, turn and SC into the side of the edging, when you get to the top of that, start attaching the cups using SC. (You would be attaching the cups and R1 of the edging).
When the cups are attached, you SC down the other side of the edging. When you have finished the last SC, chain 1 turn, and SC up towards the cups.
SC into each stitch DC of the cup, placing a stitch maker into the first stitch of the cup.
When you get to the “chain 1” space of the cup, work HDC instead of SC to the top of the mesh section and place a stitch marker in the last HDC (this would be at the top side of the mesh section).
SC across the top of the mesh section.
At the other side of the top, HDC down til the “chain 1” of the cup (place a stitch marker in the 1st HDC on this side).
SC all the way down placing a Stitch marker in the SC of the last DC of the cup (the stitch before the edging was attached).
To make the straps, chain 1 slip stitch up to the stitch marker, chain a desired length for a strap, (I did 92) and HDC along the chain. Slip stitch into the same stitch an the chain and continue to slip stitch up to the next stitch marker (the one at the top of the mesh section)
If you want to do the picot stitch, after you do the first strap, you slip stitch 4 times, chain 4 and slip stitch back into the same stitch as the chain 4 and repeat until you get to the next stitch marker.
At the stitch marker, chain a desired length again and HDC along the chain, slip stitch in the same stitch of the chain, slip stitch across the top of the mesh section to the next stitch marker.
Chain a desired length, HDC along and slip stitch into the same stitch as the chain. Work the picot stitch the same way as the other side, all the way down to the nest stitch marker.
Chain a desired length, HDC along the chain, slip stitch into the stitch where the chain started and slip stitch until the end of the row. Fasten off.

The pattern is a little confusing, but I understand how difficult it is to make one. I think I just finished the cups and I can’t tell what the next part is and if I’m supposed to cut my thread and start a new part.
