Hi my fellow crocheters. So today, I have a pattern for a beautiful granny square crop top. It can be worn as a festival top, a beachy top, a regular crochet top (maybe with a cute sweater?). It’s beautiful I think. It’s also the first real granny square I’ve ever done (after learning the correct way to do granny squares). I know I did a wall hanging post before, but that was just by sight rather than correct stitch count. (I may have to review that). Anyway, let’s get into the pattern. 
I used a size 3 thread in 5 different colors : white, purple, blue, green and pink. (Peacock colors I guess- but I think different shades of blue would give this a real beachy vibe. Whatever you choose to do, the possibilities are endless)

Free crochet pattern. Bikini/crop top

For this top you can use a 3.25 crochet hook if you want to use Aunt Lydia’s Fashion Crochet Thread. Use a 2.5 or 3mm for DMC Petra Crochet Cotton.
A small is usually 7 rounds, medium is 8-9 and a large is 10-11
This pattern is for a medium of 8 rounds, so based on the pattern, you adjust the stitches to suit. Continue reading

3.25 crochet hook- Aunt Lydia’s Fashion Crochet Thread. 2.5 or 3mm- DMC Petra Crochet Cotton. (Size 3 thread)
A small is usually 7 rounds, medium is 8-9 and a large is 10-11 This pattern is for a small so based on the pattern, you adjust the stitches to suit.
chain 19
R1: DC in 5th chain from hook, 3DC in last chain (18DC) chain 1 3DC in the 1st chain (other side) DC along. (18DC, chain 1, 18DC)
R2-7: chain 3, DC along, 2 DC in chain 1 space from previous round, chain 1, 2 DC in chain 1 space, DC along to end of row. (R2: 20DC, chain 1, 20 DC) (R6: 30DC, chain 1, 30DC) (Make 2 cups)
